Elk, caribou, grizzly bears and gray wolves are native to the Park. Historic sites and museums include the Banff Centre, Banff Park Museum, Whyte Museum, Canadian Ski Museum West, Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum, and the Cave & Basin National Historic Site. The town of Banff offers a variety of restaurants, shops and art galleries.
